We have thousands of publishers who are using our images.
One of the great things working on a webby/ social media app is that you are exposed to a variety of users. In our case all have an opinion about something and all share the urge to voice themselves- in that sense they are all alike.
But–each has a unique way of saying things, present a different angle or has a different topic he/she is passionate about. I really love that about my job! seeing who is using our images, what images are used and reading the posts and the insights.
With that I decided to periodically share with our blog readers some of the blogs I come across and like.
We are happy to
participate and support WordCamp Israel 2008, it's happening this Sunday
November 16, 2008.
WordCamp Israel 2008 is the second annual
conference for the WordPress blogging community in Israel. Its goals are to strengthen the ties between Israeli
WordPress users, to grow the Israeli WordPress community and to increase
people's technical understanding of WordPress and PicApp is excited to align
itself with these goals.
We have recently launched our WordPress
Plug-in, the first WordPress Plug-in of full size copyrighted images and our experience
since we launch has been very positive, not only in terms of number of
downloads and increased usage but as important the great feedback and deep involvement
we get from the users— it's like joining a big caring family.
So, we'll be at WordCamp on November
16, we'll be presenting at the main entrance hall, stop by and say hi.
Our WordPress plug-in is available on WP directory, we created this short demo video to show you how easy it is to add PicApp images straight from WP editor into your post.
The images are fully licensed, come from the most prestigious content partners such as Getty Images, Splash News, Corbis and alike, these are full size images that come tagged so they improve your SEO and indexing to drive more traffic to your site (beyond the obvious value of enriching your blog and enhancing readership:)
The number of downloads in the short time since the plug-in was added is really gratifying.
Help us spread the word: if you haven't yet– give it a try and if you have– let others know of it, Digg it; Blog it, Facebook it…
Download our plug-in and start adding images to your posts!
In the past month PicApp ran several competitions. All were extremely fun and exciting and the bloggers gave us a chance to see the many creative ways PicApp can be used.
One special competition was in partnership with our dear friends at FuelMyBlog! We thought it would be fun to fly one bloggers to BlogWorldExpo (coming up in a few weeks), and visit our booth there. The rules were simple - the blog with the most PicApp images (maximum of 2 images per posts) flies to Las Vegas. Here are some participants who stood out in the competition:
